YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT 

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join My Porsche Team with the mission to build a cutting-edge mobile app that redefines how our customers interact with their luxury vehicles and lifestyle.

As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions through a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. You will collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to implement comprehensive test strategies that align with modern best practices and support our continuous delivery goals.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Test Engineer who will validate digital products from several perspectives in our “Porsche Events” portfolio. At the same time, collaboration with other teams and synergies based on lean and data-driven processes are key to our success.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot issues and provide valuable insights for continuous improvement 
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools 
  • Execute and analyse automated tests to identify defects, performance issues, and other quality concerns 
  • As a member of an agile product team, work with the Product Owner and stakeholders to define product roadmap and create test cases and test plans 
  • Supports the development team with manual testing
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, measure system performance and track bugs w.r.t functional and non-functional requirements (i.e., the software specification)
  • Monitor and interpret debugging outputs and test-suit logs
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities, open defect counts and possible security flaws
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and pick the most suitable ones based on specific project requirements
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA automation and actively apply this knowledge to improve testing practices 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years' working experience in test automation in an agile software development environment 
  • Proven hands-on experience in test automation frameworks and tools: 
  • Rest and/or GraphQL API testing (e.g.: Postman, Axios) 
  • Experience in UI and E2E test automation for web applications, and/or iOS and Android mobile platforms (experience with Maestro is nice to have)
  • Experience in one/more of the following is an advantage - TypeScript, Javascript, Node.js 
  • Experience in version control tools (Git) is a plus 
  • Experience in performance testing tools 
  • Data analytics knowledge is a bonus 
  • Familiar with continuous integration, build & deployment practices and tools 
  • Strong organization skills - ability to handle a dynamic environment 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Initiative and ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
